How to Write an Intention (Sankalpa)

Step Into Alignment with Your Destiny

A sacred yagya is an opportunity for Her Holiness Jagadguru Sai Maa to work with you on your destiny through the science of yagyas in combination with Sai Maa’s energetic work.

We invite you to reflect on what you wish to manifest in your life, and to determine where you wish to direct this energy of transformation and manifestation. Your intention will be included as part of your registration process and will be shared with Sai Maa.

How to Write an Intention (Sankalpa)

Here are a few simple instructions to help.

  • Take time to contemplate. Feel and imagine what you are longing to manifest in your life.
  • Focus on one specific outcome in any domain of your life (for example: your health, your personality transformation, your wealth and abundance, and if for your birthday what you wish to be the intention for your year ahead.)
  • Write your intention as a clear instruction, beginning with a verb in the command form (for example: Elevate, expand, anchor, create, manifest, strengthen, embody, awaken). The more specific, the better.
  • Write your intention in a maximum of 10 words.
  • Keep it positive and present-focused. State what you wish to create (rather than what you want to stop), and write it as a clear, supportive outcome.
  • As Her Holiness Jagadguru Sai Maa has shared, “The more precise you are, the easier for your consciousness to receive.”

Examples (10 words or less)

  • Elevate my consciousness
  • Strengthen my immune system
  • Embrace life with joy and devotion
  • Empower my health and vitality
  • Anchor daily meditation with consistency and grace
  • Clarify my purpose and take aligned action now

Keep Things Simple

If we feel your Sankalpa is not clear, we may offer a suggested refinement so it is concise and aligned. In order for Sai Maa to effectively do the energy work with you, the intention must be clear and specific.
