Bodh Gaya - 2026

Departing Bodh Gaya

As Her Holiness Jagadguru Sai Maa departs Bodh Gaya on May 5, following the Buddha Purnima Sacred Tour, a Buddhist monk offers his blessing for the journey.

Pitri Puja, Pind Daan, and Closing Ceremony

The sacred pilgrimage in Bodh Gaya came to a close with Pitri Puja and Pind Daan at the ancient Vishnupad Temple in Gaya on May 4.

These ancestral rituals, among the most auspicious offerings in Sanatan Dharma, are performed for the peace and liberation of departed souls, a bridge between the living and those who came before.

After days of meditation, yagya, Darshan, bhandara, and interfaith gathering in the very land where Lord Buddha awakened, this closing ceremony held the prayer of the entire Journey:

Peace for all beings. Liberation for all souls. The awakening of humanity.

Bodh Gaya Enlightenment Yagya at Shri Jagannath Temple

On May 3, 2026, the Bodh Gaya Enlightenment Yagya was performed at Shri Jagannath Temple in Bodh Gaya in the presence of Her Holiness Jagadguru Sai Maa. Twenty-one Kashi pundits conducted the sacred Vedic fire ceremony, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Lord Jagannath, Maha Lakshmi, and the Saptarishis, with the sankalpa of self-knowledge, prosperity, and liberation (moksha) for all beings.

Following the yagya, Sai Maa offered Darshan to more than 500 people gathered at the temple, blessing all who came. The day closed with a bhandara offered to participants and the surrounding community.

This image of the Bodh Gaya Enlightenment Yagya is shared by Her Holiness Jagadguru Sai Maa for you, carrying with it the sacred energy and blessings of this ceremony.

International Inner Peace Conclave

On May 2, 2026, Her Holiness Jagadguru Sai Maa presided over the International Inner Peace Conclave at Wat Thai Magadh Buddhist Vipassana Monastery in Bodh Gaya. The open interfaith gathering brought together saints, leaders, monastics, and practitioners from across India and the world for dialogue on inner stillness, self-awareness, and the path to true peace.

At the Conclave, Sai Maa was honored with the International Inner Peace Conclave Award, presented by His Holiness Phravithespothikhun, Head Lama of Wat Thai Magadh, in recognition of Sai Maa’s lifelong service to humanity and Sanatan Dharma.

Held at the intersection of Vedic and Buddhist traditions, in the land of Lord Buddha’s enlightenment, the gathering carried a significance that extended far beyond its program. A bhandara was offered to all attendees and members of the public.

This Is Where the Journey Began…

Bodh Gaya, India | Sunday, April 19, 2026

On Sunday afternoon, April 19, the Work began.

Not the planning. Not the preparation. The actual Work — the transmission of consciousness that Her Holiness Sai Maa has set into motion in one of the most sacred fields on Earth.

Those of you on this pilgrimage are not simply traveling. You are part of an active grid of consciousness.

The work has started for them. In Gaia, Bodh Gaya, and Surya temple.
— Her Holiness Jagadguru Sai Maa

The Bodhi Tree

Where Gautama Buddha attained enlightenment — a living field of awakening, liberation, and stillness.

Surya Deo Mandir

The ancient Sun temple — solar intelligence, vitality, and the light that heals.

Each site is a living field of consciousness. Sai Maa is actively working within them — for those physically on the ground in India, and for all who are tapped into this journey from a distance.

Sai Maa shares the heart of what She is creating for all who will be physically present in Bodh Gaya:

What I am going to create for everybody who is there — how to merge the consciousness [we are] receiving from the Bodhi tree, with the Surya Mandir, with the consciousness of Surya, with the health, with the body.
— Her Holiness Jagadguru Sai Maa

Sai Maa has named health as a central pillar of Sai Maa’s work for humanity in this time. This Sacred Tour, this pilgrimage is not separate from that mission. It is an expression of it.

More transmissions and notes from Sai Maa are coming — Sai Maa will write and record in real time as the Work unfolds.

The work has started.
The gates are open.
You are being held in this new consciousness.

Om Jai Jai Sai Maa
