Message from Punditji Venkat Raman Ganapathi
Har Har Mahadev
Today is *Mother's Day* and is celebrated across the world with great happiness and enthusiasm.
It is very important to understand the role of mother in our life. According to our veda, it is widely revered as "Maatru Devo Bhava | Pitru Devo Bhava." Mother is everything. There are many hardships, physiological and mental changes that a woman undergoes when she becomes pregnant with a child in her womb. And each experience is unique and best known to them. After nine months of nurturing the baby inside her womb, she too gets a new lease of life "Punar janma" after the successful delivery. Hence, she is considered as first God for every child of her's with all due respects .
It is important for us to understand the immense sacrifices she does to bring us to this world. We have to refrain from raising voices, using abusive words and never ill treat her no matter what.
When the child is a baby and cries, she knows the reason behind. She provides nourishment in the form of milk, puts the baby to sleep with lullaby. A little later, when the child grows up big enough to go to school, the mother gets up early, sacrificing her sleep to cook food and make her child get ready to go to school on time, and she worries if they are not back home on time. She is always protective about her child and gets into action immediately whether it is a small hurt or fever.
Therefore, *Mothers* play very very important role in a child's life in their proper upbringing in all respects. It is important to give respect to our Parents and according to Veda "Matru Devo Bhava, Pitru Devo Bhava” is the mantra which means "Hey Mother and Father, please forgive me for whatever hardships I have caused for you or ill treated you even accidently. I bow to you, please bless me as I won’t repeat my mistakes if any again in future."
Let this message spread across to every soul on this sacred Mother's Day on behalf of Sri Sri Sri Lakshmi Sai Maa. May we be always bestowed with the the abundant blessings of our Mother and Father
